4th International Symposium on Sustainable Logistics, Belt and Road Initiative." Scheduled to take place in Mersin, Turkey on June 06-07, 2024, the event will feature online sessions, hosted by Toros University Faculty of Economics, Administrative, and Social Sciences, specifically by the Department of International Trade and Logistics. In collaboration with esteemed institutions such as the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Sustainability (ERASME), Lazarski University, Birmingham City University (BCU), The University of Tokyo (UTokyo), Wismar University, and the Turkish Logistics Association (LODER), Toros University is committed to fostering meaningful discourse in this domain. The overarching theme of the symposium revolves around the "Belt and Road Initiative," a concept that harks back to the expansive geographical region traversed by the ancient Silk Road. The primary objective is to elevate supply chain and logistics systems through the adoption of fair, inclusive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly strategies. Beyond addressing the immediate concerns of the region, the symposium aspires to deliberate on prioritizing effective resource utilization for all nations within the geographical expanse. Furthermore, it seeks to contribute by presenting research findings and proposing solutions that can serve as a blueprint for global applicability. This symposium thus emerges as a crucial platform for the exchange of knowledge and the formulation of actionable recommendations in the pursuit of a more sustainable and equitable global logistics landscape.
